We celebrate the animals in fine art – cartoon fine art, that is.
Great artists have long been know for their love of animals. Here are great works of art that include the beautiful creatures.
Alberto Giacometti, Portrait with Dog
Frida Kahlo, self-portraits with frogs
She loved painting her portrait with animals. Here are two — one with her feisty frogs and another with frog and monkey.
Amadeo Modigliani, portrait of the artist’s wife with sloth
Morris Hirshfield’s Angory Cat — and her stalker.
from MOMA
Picasso, Maria-Therese – and the Kiss
Ancient Egyptian bust of Nefertiti, the cat
